| Job Summary |
The College of Architecture and Planning (CA+P ) Associate Director of Student Services is responsible for planning and executing internal operations and projects from initiation through delivery in the area of student services including student recruitment, leadership, belonging, curricular navigation, internships and industry partnerships, career preparation, degree completion, and alumni engagement. The Focus of this position is on execution and managing the functional elements of student services projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with various internal departments to ensure successful completion of student services projects as well as keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results.
This position will report to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

| Responsibilities |
Work collaboratively with the Associate Dean of academic affairs to administer CA+P Student Services
- Collaborate and meet regularly with Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Chairs, the assigned Directors of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies, Director of Advising and Academic Advisors
- Process student petitions
- Coordinate staffing and supplies for campus wide events, including events related to recruitment, admissions, transfer success, and belonging
- Assist students with College-specific admissions processes, registrar, income accounting, financial aid, making referrals to campus partners, when necessary
- Administer CA+P scholarship and fellowship process
- Developing, administering, and overseeing college-specific scholarship programs
- Supporting persistence and completion funds and other targeted financial support mechanisms for students
- Works with financial aid office to ensure our programs are effective in supporting our students.
- Coordinate communication/marketing to promote CA+P student services, including Navigate campaigns, marketing and communication requests, and special initiatives (i.e., Activate)
- Support CA+P development efforts aligned with student services efforts
- Designing and delivering college-specific career and professional engagement series distinct from general advising/career coaching integration
- Supporting international students through community-building efforts and faculty/staff education related to visa compliance and international student needs
Serve as the CA+P Student Data Analyst
- In partnership with the CA+P academic units and University Enrollment Management, anticipate student data needs related to recruitment, admissions, orientation, advising, persistence, curricular navigation, and graduation
- Develop and assess effective mechanisms for student data collection and dissemination to CA+P leadership, academic advising, and career coaching
- Provide training for the effective use and analysis of student data
- Coordinate post-graduate alumni tracking with the CA+P academic units and U Career Success on the university graduation survey (First Destination)
- Serve at the CA+P liaison with UAIR
Administer CA+P student leadership programs
- Supporting student engagement through clubs, organizations, mentoring opportunities, and leadership development
- Support the development and operation of college-level student government structures, including advising student representatives and senators
- Coordinate with Student Leadership & Involvement Office to ensure CA+P student organizations are properly categorized
- Support the development of a Peer education network focused on Architecture, Planning, and Design program needs.
- Support the hiring and training of CA+P Peer advisors and Peer Education Tutors
- Prepare and disseminate an annual report of CA+P student leadership programs
Represent CA+P on university committees and initiatives related to student success and engagement

| Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Six years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communication skills also required.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Public Administration, Student Affairs, Higher Education, or a related field.
