About The Role
The Associate Product Manager ensures successful delivery of value within a product area while coordinating broader strategy execution. They partner with product managers and designers to define the tactical details of the roadmap, bring market and user context to day-to-day decisions, and own the backlog for a development team. They serve as the primary liaison between the development team and client-facing and go-to-market teams through the release process.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop a deep understanding of the user problems being solved and the product vision; communicate vision, priorities, and progress clearly to both the development team and cross-functional stakeholders before, during, and after delivery cycles
• Translate user needs into well-structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, iterating with AI tools and the team to ensure requirements are precise, actionable, and reflect customer value; maintain relevant product and feature documentation
• Own and maintain a clearly prioritized backlog that balances business, technical, and user needs, aligns with broader product strategy, and accounts for defect triage and resolution
• Drive iterative planning, discovery, and backlog refinement alongside designers and engineers with a user-centered approach; review QA plans and perform story acceptance, including review of AI-assisted outputs, for compliance and quality
• Use AI tools to extend your reach across research, analysis, backlog management, and documentation, operating as an amplifier rather than a bottleneck
• Use a range of techniques, including AI-assisted analysis, to understand the business domain, customer segment, and competitive landscape; extract key insights to inform decisions
• Gather feedback from clients, sales, support, and implementation teams; incorporate insights into plans and backlog priorities
• Track sprint, release, and adoption metrics that inform product and feature success; use data to drive decisions

Required Skills and Experience
• 2+ years in software development, product ownership, business analysis, or a closely related role
• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field, or equivalent work experience

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing demands
• Experience working within iterative, agile delivery teams
• Experience with business analysis, use case documentation, or requirements gathering
• Proficiency using AI-powered tools (e.g., research tools, writing aids, prototyping assistants) to increase personal and team productivity
• Strong interpersonal, written, and organizational communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-changing environment across teams and departments
