Job Summary

As a part of our innovative and service-minded marketing and communications team, our writers and editors tell the stories of our online graduates and give prospective students the information and confidence they need to take their own next giant leap. Working closely with marketing strategists, our writers develop website, social media, video and email content, interview alumni for testimonials, create media releases, and research the barriers to enrollment our students face to provide them with information they need through supportive blog posts and search results. You will work together with web developers and graphic designers to write content needed to execute comprehensive marketing plans, and edit content for platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, and CTV. You can also exercise your creativity and storytelling chops in this position with development of organic pieces and new ideas for outreach.

This position can be fully remote or hybrid based out of West Lafayette, Indiana.

What We’re Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Six months of professional experience in marketing, journalism, technical, or creative writing.
  • In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience; Associate's + 2.5 years' experience or HS/GED + 4.5 years of experience
 
Skills needed:
  • Planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, often under tight deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills
 
Nice to have:
  • Experience using AI tools for idea generation and editing is a plus
  • Knowledge and/or interest in higher education or online learning
  • Experience working in a marketing and communication function
