Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead and oversee the training and development of all asynchronous learning of the Training Department.  Work is generated by the policies established by the Board of Directors and the direction established by the Executive Director, Chief of Human Resource Officer, and the Director of Learning & Development. The employee performs independently, and with peers, specialized training activities that develop skills, knowledge, attitudes that enhance the audiences’ abilities to effectively complete their job duties.  This position requires skills in designing and developing training content, selecting appropriate training format, and conducting and analyzing training programs in a wide variety of curricula.

Training / Consultation:
  1. Responsible for the development and implementation of Training Department Asynchronous Trainings
  2. Serves as the Asynchronous Training support to other professional/clinical staff.
  3. Serves as the Training Accessibility support ensuring all content meets the standards of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and/or makes recommendations to how we need to meet these standards.
  4. Serves as support for Easterseals MORC’s Asynchronous Training requests.
  5. Responsible to contribute to the file organization of all eLearning SCORM files for Easterseals MORC Training Department
  6. Responsible for updating and uploading most recent SCORM-file versions of courses or modules into Training Department LMS
  7. Serves as an administrator in the Learning Management System.
  8. Suggests most appropriate and effective methods and materials for asynchronous development
  9. Contributes to the development of approved training development requests.
  10. Creates educational/informational presentations.
  11. Maintain existing courses; make revisions and improvements, based on the recommendation from a variety of sources.
  12. Maintains records, prepares reports, and conducts correspondence.
  13. Contributes to organizational training needs assessment.
  14. Updates and modifies course contents to reflect any changes required and approved.
  15. Suggests most appropriate asynchronous training delivery to meet required outcomes.
  16. Contributes to synchronous development of courses.
  17. Responsible for the accuracy of branding for all visual materials associated with all Asynchronous Trainings
  18. Utilizes the LMS to fulfill responsibilities associated with role.

Curriculum Development:
  1. Review existing curriculum and make recommendations for curriculum improvement for our asynchronous and blended training experiences based on training requirements and guidelines.
  2. Design training based on approved and required training outcomes.
  3. Develop training outcomes, flows, and materials for both existing and new asynchronous, and blended training experiences.
  4. Contribute to the creation of synchronous learning in partnership with Synchronous Team Lead.

Quality Assurance/ Data Analysis:
  1. Review eLearning content for integrity and functionality
  2. Demonstrates and utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills
  3. Ensures Easterseals MORC policy updates and changes are reflected in training material
  4. Ensures Michigan’s State Training Guidelines recommendations are integrated into existing or newly developed trainings
  5. Proactively seeks solutions and enhancements to training courses and content
  6. Communicates training content updates for review to the Director of Learning & Development
  7. Resource on training standards and content for Easterseals MORC departments
  8. Remains current in trends and developments in the area of training and makes recommendations to Easterseals MORC Training leadership regarding staff development 

Evaluation: 
  1. Reviews surveys to determine training needs and effectiveness.
  2. Assesses trainee’s knowledge and skills by preparing knowledge checks and test items.

Customer Satisfaction:
  1. All customer related services and reports are delivered within specific timeframes as established by standards of practice.
  2. All customer related services are coordinated and meet needs and expectations.
  3. Services are rendered in a dependable and reliable manner. 
  4. All interaction with customers is conducted with dignity and respect.

Other Duties as Assigned:
  1. Presents a favorable public image of Easterseals MORC by being helpful, supportive, and polite to all individuals who participate in, or fund sponsored training sessions.

Qualifications
Education

Required
High School or better.

Preferred
Bachelors or better in Business Administration.
Bachelors or better in Health Administration.
Bachelors or better in Human Resource Administration.
