Job Summary  | The Strategic Communications Assistant will be an important part of the UK Athletics social media and digital marketing team, with responsibilities including creating and implementing social media content plans for assigned accounts. Those efforts include working with coaching staffs, developing and implementing communication plans, social media, account administration, creating strategies for fan engagement and attendance and assisting the strategic communications staff’s analytics initiatives. This position is an appointment for 2025-2026 season with the opportunity for a second term.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities  | Passionate, dedicated, hard-working and organized with excellentwritten/verbal communication skills and a strong desire to pursue a career inathletic communications and marketing fi elds. Prior experience incommunications or marketing at the Division 1 level preferred. Familiar with
NCAA procedures and protocols.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?  | No
Preferred Education/Experience  | Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Communications, Marketing, Sports Management or related field. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays when they fall on certain game days.
