Description of Work  | As a point of contact for the Benefits unit, this position answers questions from employees on the benefits available including health insurance and other benefit offerings. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide excellent customer assistance to staff, faculty, and unit representatives on employee benefit matters as well as answering the phone, greeting customers and other duties like long term disability claims.

Assist university employees with basic, Supplemental Retirement, and 457(b) plans. Duties include: overseeing enrollment, authorizing withdrawals and roll-overs for separating employees, maintaining records, monitoring SRA and 457(b) accounts to ensure compliance with IRS guidelines, and counseling separating employee on retirement payment options. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications  | SAP experience helpful. Previous benefits administration experience preferred. Prefer reception area experience working with busy phones and walk-in customers.
