Highlights
Manage leaves of absence: eligibility, benefits consultation, application review, and coordination with Employee Relations.
Advise employees on retirement options, benefit calculations, supplemental plans, and process retirement documentation.
Conduct onboarding and offboarding benefits consultations, guide termination benefits, and support Reduction in Force actions.
Provide general benefits support including processing HR service cases, interpreting policies, and assisting with open enrollment events.
Required advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Minimum qualifications include a related bachelor's degree with 2+ years of HR benefits experience or equivalent training and experience.
Public sector and broad benefits administration experience preferred.
Strong communication skills, including delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
Salary range is $61,000 - $66,000 annually.
Supports benefits programs for over 4,000 faculty, staff, and eligible temporary employees within UNC Charlotte's Human Resources department.
