At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Temecula, CA! If you're committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special needs and helping them achieve academic success, we want to hear from you!
About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, youâll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Temecula, CA
Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Temecula, CA
- Schedule: 18 hours, 3 sessions a week for 1 hour and 30minutes
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
Ideal Candidate:
- Spanish/English bilingual tutor (required) with strong experience supporting neurodivergent learners.
- Skilled in teaching math concepts and skills, with a strong emphasis on Geometry and foundational math.
- Experienced supporting students with Autism, ADHD, anxiety, and school-related trauma.
- Patient, calm, and structured, with the ability to create a predictable and emotionally safe learning environment.
- Comfortable supporting reading fluency, comprehension across multiple content areas, and foundational literacy skills.
- Able to provide clear explanations, break down complex tasks, and offer step-by-step instruction.
- Attentive to mild frustration-related behaviors and able to redirect gently and effectively.
- Engaging and flexible, with the ability to incorporate student interests such as music, drawing, and fashion into lessons.
- Comfortable conducting a required academic assessment to guide instruction and goal-setting.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized math instruction with a primary focus on Geometry and reinforcement of core math concepts and skills.
- Support foundational math skills as needed to strengthen confidence and problem-solving ability.
- Provide targeted instruction in reading fluency, reading comprehension, and comprehension across content areas.
- Reinforce foundational literacy skills to support academic success across subjects.
- Break down assignments into manageable steps and provide structured guidance to reduce overwhelm.
- Maintain a calm, supportive, and predictable session structure to support focus and emotional regulation.
- Incorporate interest-based strategies to increase engagement and motivation.
- Complete a required tutor assessment and use results to tailor instruction.
- Monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies to support continued academic growth.
