Primary Function of Organizational Unit  | The mission of the nursing department is to prepare compassionate and caring nurse leaders in health who transform communities.
Primary Purpose of Position  | The BSN Academic Enhancement Coordinator would supervise the student tutors. This person would assist nursing students to identify gaps in nursing knowledge based on testing performance analysis and create a structured remediation plan using the NCLEX testing package resources.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  | Commitment to diversity and inclusion in fulfillment of the university’s mission, knowledgeable of university and pre-professional curriculum requirement; knowledgeable of tutoring practices and principles; attained intermediate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret any pertinent course materials such as syllabi, course/homework instructions or any educational information that will assist in the student’s learning experience. Ability to write daily reports and email correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with students or employees of organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and be able to explain/interpret to students and the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Highly skilled at multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks

Minimum Education/Experience  | Master’s degree in Higher Education or relevant field, required and Doctorate is preferred.
Experience in supporting students at risk; working in a learning center and/or knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices to support learning; and developing and implementing retention strategies.
