Job Description:
In conjunction with Business Analyst, serves as a liaison between a business area and technology team; assists with review, analysis, implementation, and evaluation of business systems and user needs for a core functional area. Gathers information and drafts requirement specifications, helps develop and execute test plans and assists technical staff build and deploy technology solution.
Salary: $55,000 annually.

Essential Duties:
Gathers information, drafts requirement specifications and reviews draft with requestor(s) to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation. Assists develop and execute test plans; works closely and in conjunction with technical staff during build and implementation of technology solution to ensure compliance with requested outcome(s). Assists with management of projects for a core functional area by monitoring implementation plans and projects issues to help ensure completion of all project tasks in a timely manner. Works closely and in conjunction with Business Analyst to facilitate decision-making by communicating across project teams and/or functional areas. Collects and/or documents end user requirements utilizing a variety of methods including, but not limited to: interviews, requirement gathering meetings, surveys, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis to ensure thorough understanding and documentation of all aspects associated with request. Researches and presents appropriate project methods, standards, and processes designed to enhance/increase efficiency and accuracy while reducing total cost of ownership. Works closely with Business Analyst to consult with customers in order to gather project requirements and potential system design to best address business needs; provides information to project and/or development team(s) to ensure project meets customers' needs. Maintains strong knowledge of structure and location of various available data sources to assist in creation of queries and applications utilizing that data. In conjunction with Business Analyst, serves as liaison between functional project team and technology support organization to ensure timely, complete and accurate communication of status. In conjunction with Business Analyst, researches, identifies and presents PS security roles/permission lists specific to HRIS users; assists in security design. Assists with development and review of written process documentation to ensure availability and usability of materials for reference by targeted user population(s). Provides input on application testing design and coordinates performance of tests; identifies and secures appropriate test environment to ensure adequate scenarios, timing and error correction for achievement of established completion date. Provides support to end-users through on-call assistance and problem resolution as needed.

  • Evidence of effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience documenting and mapping business processes.
  • Experience in business systems analysis with SaaS applications
  • Experience in a Higher Education environment.
  • Experience writing functional specifications for system modifications.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, documenting, and testing integrations between multiple systems, databases, etc.
  • Experience creating test plans, planning and conducting Unit and System testing and coordinating User Acceptance testing.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Workday, WebTMA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases and tables structures.
  • Experience with SQL and proficient in writing queries and reports.

Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); frequently required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (25%) Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions. Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals. This position receives regular review of objectives.
