Business Assistant Full Description

This position will provide business office support for the College of Pharmacy.  Under the direction of the Business Manager, the successful candidate will provide account management support for faculty, including sponsored programs and university funding. 
This position will serve as a liaison for both the departmental and central offices, especially Sponsored Program Services. The successful candidate will exercise programmatic and fiscal approval signature delegation by approving purchase orders, travel, purchasing card transactions and invoice payments. 

Hybrid work may be considered for this position based on the candidate’s location and interest.

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of experience in an account clerk, accounting, or bookkeeping role
  • Business or financial related degree will be considered in lieu of experience

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build working relationships among a diverse workforce
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to identify and determine problems, analyze information and implement solutions
