Business Assistant, Account Management Full Description

Job Summary
The Business Assistant in the Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering and Nuclear Engineering will provide account management support for faculty, including sponsored programs from a variety of federal and non-federal sponsors and university funding.
 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Daily operations with a direct impact on effective account management.
  • Act as a liaison for both the department and central offices, especially sponsored program services.
  • Interpret, communicate, and implement university financial management guidelines, policies, and procedures as well as require advanced knowledge of federal and non-federal guidelines. 
  • Exercise department head and departmental fiscal signature delegation by approving purchase orders and travel.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2 years of relevant business and/or financial related experience.
 
Skills Needed:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build working relationships among a diverse workforce.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Motivated individual with ability to efficiently multi-task, work under pressure, handle frequent interruptions and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and determine problems, analyze information and implement solutions.
  • Capable of taking initiative, assuming responsibility and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment .
