Department Overview:
This position independently designs, develops, implements, and coordinates complex data compilation and
analysis in support of the OHSU Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) Department. Identifies and helps to secure
needed qualitative and quantitative information and statistical data, and presents this information in narrative
and schematic form for use in business planning and administrative decision-making. This position will
support the Retail, Patient Services, Culinary, and Catering segments of FNS. Function/Duties of Position:
Business Analysis and Development:
- Develop reporting systems for monitoring business volume (Retail and Patient Services), perform analysis of collected data to monitor performance and drive decision-making process, and provide reports on departmental performance that can be shared throughout the department.
Report Generation:
- Generates reports relating to Fulton Fund meals and Par Stock consumption for optimum use of systems, oversees and ensures the accuracy, appropriate formatting, content and production of regular and ad hoc reports for all Orgs in the department.
- Displays and maintains data in graphs, summary tables, and charts. Helps establish departmental internal reporting standards. Interprets researched information. Conducts business intelligence gathering and reports to the management of FNS.
Badging System:
- Implementation and maintenance of badging system relating to GEMpay utilization as form of payment and/or discounts.
- Ensuring that this system continues to be a viable resource and expanding utilization throughout the department and institution.
Consulting:
- Consults with department management to develop, recommend and implement analytics and metrics around workflow.
- Provides consultation to managers and leaders in the use of analytical and reporting tools to develop effective cost, quality, and satisfaction outcomes.
- Provides qualified recommendations on ways to improve departmental performance.
Project Management:
- Work within FNS to create avenues for accurate recording and reporting.
- Help with representation of data in accordance with particular niches within FNS department.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a business field and one year of experience that included analytical, database, spreadsheet and/or financial experience, technical writing, quantitative analysis or use of statistical principles; OR
- Associates degree in a business field plus three years of experience that included analytical, database, spreadsheet and/or financial experience, technical writing, quantitative analysis or use of statistical principles; OR
- Five years of experience that included analytical, database, spreadsheet and/or financial experience, technical writing, quantitative analysis or use of statistical principles; OR
- An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’ Degree in Business Administration.
- Experience in hospitality industry and supply chain management.
Additional Details:
Monday - Friday, 8 hour day. May require night and weekend work depending on projects.
