Job Summary
Work with a dynamic team of fundraising professionals to support the fundraising and alumni relations activities within the David Eccles School of Business. This position will interpret and project results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently.
Designs, develops, implements, and maintains business intelligence solutions. Works with clients, project leaders, and business leaders to identify analytical requirements. Provides supervision and tutorship to junior analysts and collaborates with domain experts to deliver comprehensive reporting and analytics solutions.
Responsibilities | Research & Prospecting: Conducts alumni prospect research analysis for the Alumni Relations & Development team, qualifying new major gift prospects, regional committee prospects, Giving Day advocates, and travel research.
Data: Works closely and in collaboration with the Eccles Data Software and Solutions team and Central Advancement on data sharing. Collaborates with the Alumni Relations team to develop the logic and system for an alumni engagement score, creates a tracking system for alumni affinity groups, and oversees data integrity for the Alumni Relations & Development team. Identifies and implements methods to normalize and maintain data from disparate systems. Leads initiatives to clean up data and improve processes in Salesforce and other database systems.
Reporting: Pulls reports for event invitations, magazine mailing lists, annual reports, and reconciliations. Delivers comprehensive business intelligence solutions, reporting, and analytics for the Alumni Relations and Developmentteam often using APIs Implements and supports Tableau dashboards.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Two to four years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Preferences | 1 year of experience in business intelligence/ETL. 1 year of experience in physical data modeling and business intelligence technologies. Intermediate knowledge of SQL, preferably Oracle. 1 year of Salesforce experience as an end user. Preference given to applicants with a working knowledge of using SOQL. Experience with ETL development tools such as Informatica, Talend, ODI, etc.
