As part of growth acceleration, the EdAdvisory Outbound Business Development Representative role has responsibility to develop new relationships for Bright Horizons EdAdvisory solutions within large enterprises in a specified territory through all outreach strategies. This position will be to prospect and build new relationships to further our growth efforts, resulting in appointments for the B2B Sales Team and drive new business opportunities.
Success will be measured by effective penetration into the market, number of viable first time appointments set for the Sales Team, positive relationships with prospects, new opportunities, and ultimately, total revenue generated in the specified territory.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Own outbound lead generation efforts, including identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. Schedule, and attend, when appropriate, meetings with potential clients alongside the Sales Team
- Sales Strategy Support: Assist in executing sales strategies for your territory, contributing to sales targets and growth goals. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of EdAdvisory solutions, value props, and benefits to effectively communicate with top executives.
- Client Relationship Building: Initiate and nurture relationships with prospects to generate interest and effectively communicate the value of EdAdvisory solutions
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of sales activities in the CRM
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Team, Marketing, and other teams to ensure successful lead handoffs and maximize business opportunities
- Market Insights: Provide feedback on trends and competitor activities to help shape sales strategies and marketing efforts
Qualifications:
- 2 years of professional work experience in an outbound prospecting or inside sales role Required, 3-4 years of this experience is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or related field OR 3 additional years of professional work experience in an outbound prospecting or inside sales role
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and meetings within our CRM system
- Leverage networking tools such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and Sales Navigator
- 2+ years of experience in sales or business development, with a proven track record of lead generation and meeting targets
- Experience with SaaS, eLearning, or tech solutions is a plus
- Results-driven with a passion for driving business growth and solving client challenges
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage top-level decision- makers
- A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Able to make 40-50 calls per/day, with strategic preparation, and deliver consistently against quota
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with a distributed team

Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 – $85,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 80 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule (vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
