Purpose of the position
Reporting directly to a sales Director, you will work directly with both end customers and channel partners to cultivate and expand new accounts for our GX product. This position requires a results-driven individual who is passionate about driving sales growth and exceeding targets. You will play a key role in shaping and executing the business strategy for your territory, with a focus on increasing SLED sales with the SMART GX product.

Duties and Responsibilities 
Your duties include to focus on growing market share and positioning our GX product as a better alternative to the other brands on the market. As SMART continues to grow and its business requirements change, your duties withing this position will evolve. Your specific duties will include.

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new customer accounts, expanding the reach of the GX product.
  • Collaborate with new channel partners to build and strengthen relationships, ensuring alignment of GX product with their customers’ needs and maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Execute the sales strategy for your territory that supports the growth of both new and existing business in alignment with company goals
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales quotas and performance metrics by driving demand and closing deals.
  • Provide ongoing support to customers and channel partners, ensuring smooth implementations and identifying opportunities for additional business.
  • Continuously gather market intelligence and feedback from customers and partners to provide actionable insights. Report progress and sales forecasts to the Director.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer support, to ensure effective sales and product strategies.
  • Other duties as required

Education and work experience
  • Comprehensive experience in sales role
  • Understanding of channel landscape either at Vendor, Distributor or Re-seller level
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Superior interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a team-focused mentality, with proven ability to work cross-functionally and think strategically
  • Strong presenting and closing skills, with the ability to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy
  • Sales Force familiarity
  • Ability to prioritize in a dynamic, changing environment

  • This position has no direct reports

Working Conditions
  • Home-based role with successful candidate living in Texas
  • Fast-paced work environment
  • Travel up to 50% of time depending on the time of year
