The Business Manager for First-Year Engineering Pathways provides comprehensive financial management, reporting, and business office support for First-Year Engineering Programs—including EPICS, VIP, and Honors—which have estimated annual expenditures of approximately $10 million. This role collaborates closely with college directors, assistant directors of financial affairs, and business managers to ensure effective coordination of financial operations across academic departments. In addition to supporting First-Year Pathway programs, the Business Manager works directly with program directors, assistant deans, and associate deans, serving as the primary resource and liaison to central offices. Responsibilities include interpreting and applying University, federal, state, and sponsoring agency policies and procedures; collaborating with central business service operations and related entities to achieve the University’s strategic goals; and preparing financial and management reports to support long-range planning, budget recommendations, and strategic financial management. The position also mentors peers within the business office and maintains a unit that delivers exceptional business management support to departmental leadership, directors, managers, staff, and students.
Hybrid work will be considered for this position based on the candidate’s location and interest.
