Job Description 
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Career Coach serves as a vital link between Reynolds Community College and its partner high schools, supporting students in dual enrollment programs and guiding them through career exploration, college transition, and academic planning. This role is instrumental in helping students navigate their educational journey with confidence and clarity.

Key Responsibilities: Provide personalized enrollment support and career/transfer guidance to students enrolled in dual enrollment courses. Conduct annual career coaching activities for students at assigned high schools, including: One-on-one advising sessions Group workshops Classroom presentations Documentation of all interactions in the VCCS Case Management System Represent Reynolds Community College professionally at recruitment events, school meetings, and other outreach activities. Assist students with admissions and enrollment processes to ensure a smooth transition from high school to college. Maintain accurate and organized records of student interactions, both written and digital. Serve as a liaison between the college and high school stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, and staff. Monitor dual enrollment class rosters and verify student enrollment to ensure accuracy and compliance. Participate in required meetings and trainings, including periodic on-campus sessions.

Special Assignments  | May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications  | Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A master’s degree from an accredited college or university program is required. A bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience in a secondary or post-secondary educational setting may be considered as a substitute. Strong understanding of academic requirements for high school graduation, community college enrollment, Reynolds programs, and regional career opportunities Ability to provide accurate and relevant academic and career guidance to high school and dual enrollment students Proficiency in using computer software for data entry, recordkeeping, and generating reports Skilled in coordinating student activities, mentoring, and delivering presentations in classroom and group settings Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, school and college personnel, and community stakeholders Capable of documenting activities and maintaining organized digital and written records
