The Career Counselor provides career development support to students through individual appointments and includes an emphasis on outreach associated with classroom presentations, workshops, and special events.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Preferred Qualifications | A master’s degree and/or prior experience working in career services or human resources.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | A successful background check is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required as are the abilities to perform detailed work, deal with regular interruptions, handle multiple concurrent tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality with regard to student records and information.
