The coordinator works alongside students, employers, faculty, families, and community partners to build meaningful, competitive, integrated employment outcomes. This position acts as a direct support professional, instructor, advocate, and employment specialist, and reports to the Director of LIFE Scholars.

  • Identify and develop internship opportunities on campus and in the community.
  • Prepare supervisors and mentors for student onboarding and support.
  • Host orientation activities for second-year students heading into internships.
  • Build relationships with employers across Montana and with outside job developers.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, Human Services, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Show experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Bring experience in employment, internship, career development, or transition services.
  • Pay of $24.388 per hour, benefits eligible, at 1.0 FTE during the academic year and 0.2 FTE in the summer.
