Missouri State University is hiring a Career Resources Specialist to develop and implement Career Center activities and help plan and run the program's daily operations. The specialist helps students imagine their futures and prepares them to pursue those possibilities. This role also advises students on entering the world of work, from employment options to resumes and interviewing.
Highlights
Advise students on employment options, job search strategies, and developing desirable professional qualifications.
Coach students on writing resumes and developing interviewing skills.
Present outreach programming and workshops in classrooms, student organizations, residence halls, and summer orientation.
Assist with overall planning and operational activities of the Career Center program.
Hold a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree preferred in counseling, higher education administration, human resources, or a related field.
Bring at least one year of work experience in higher education or adult-based programs.
Prefer previous career services, advising, or student service experience at the college level, plus college teaching experience.
Use Microsoft Office programs and career-related technology and databases.
Pay a proposed salary of $44,000 at pay grade 42 for an exempt, full-time regular appointment.
