Chief Marketing Officer, School of Professional Studies Full Description

Position Summary: 
The Chief Marketing Officer of the School of Professional Studies leads the school's Strategic Marketing and Communications team and is responsible for the development and execution of branding, marketing and communication strategies to position the School and its programs in local, national, and international markets, serving as the steward of the SPS brand in the context of the overall NYU brand. This leader will oversee the school’s website, and the creation of PR and social media campaigns that build the school’s brand and tell its story to attract potential students and support the school’s institutes, conferences, events and workforce development initiatives. The CMO leads the development and execution of enrollment marketing campaigns to drive degree applications and continuing education enrollment in support of the school’s revenue goals. Reporting to the Dean, the position works closely with the SPS Leadership Team, notably Enrollment Management/Student Success and academic program leadership. 

Qualifications: 

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree In marketing, communications or a related field.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree MBA or Masters degree in marketing and communications or business preferred.

Required Experience:
10+ years Experience in a senior marketing management position, preferably in a university or other large entity with student and/or adult prospective customers across multiple product lines; strong integrated digital marketing background, and understanding of a wide range of marketing channels and strategies. Deep experience competing for customers searching for products and services online including how the search world is changing with the rise of AI/LLM-driven search. General understanding of university and other providers of workforce development programs in NYC, across the nation, and around the globe.

A thought leader who is able to conceive and implement strategies and processes to advance the institutional vision, while achieving measurable enrollment and revenue goals. The CMO should also possess outstanding strategic, management, data analytic, financial, administrative, and relational skills.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $220,000.00 to USD $270,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
