The Chief of Staff to the President and CEO of Emory Health Plan (EHP) is a strategic and integral role that supports the executive leadership in driving the team's mission, vision, and strategic initiatives and proactively manages complex projects, facilitates communication, and ensures the efficient operation of the executive office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Support:
- Assists the President and CEO in developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives.
- Provides insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Translates executive priorities into clear project plans and accountability structures.
Collaboration:
- Collaborates closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment, excellence, execution, and strategic initiatives; directly partners with the CEO and President for strategic priorities, agenda setting, and decision-making support.
Project Management:
- Oversees and manages key projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Tracks progress, identifies potential issues, and proposes solutions to keeps projects on track.
- Drives follow-through on leadership decisions and accountability for outcomes.
Communication Liaison:
- Serves as the primary point of contact between the President and CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
- Facilitates effective communication and collaboration across departments.
Meeting Coordination:
- Organizes and prepares for executive meetings, including agenda development, material preparation, and follow-up on action items.
- Ensures meetings are efficient and productive.
Operational Efficiency:
- Streamlines processes and procedures within the executive office to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
Confidentiality and Discretion:
- Handles sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
Team Leadership:
- Leads and mentors a team of administrative professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field and eight years of experience in a healthcare, corporate or related environment with a proven track record of supporting executive leadership.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
