Working/Functional Title
Clinical Application Analyst II

Position Summary
The Clinical IT team is responsible for the optimization and ongoing support of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) application and auxiliary clinical systems that integrate with the EHR.
Reporting to the Clinical IT Operations Manager, the analyst will perform the following duties:
  1. Serves as the Clinical IT EHR clinical analyst lead, providing subject-matter expertise in support of clinical workflows.
  2. Leads and interprets complex analysis to identify root cause of system workflow issues; clearly communicates findings and remediation plans to internal teams and stakeholders. 
  3. Evaluates end-user workflows and system utilization to ensure optimal use of EHR applications; proactively identifies and documents opportunities to improve usability, efficiency, and overall customer experience. 
  4. Independently identifies, assesses, troubleshoots and resolves EHR-related issues through to full resolution, including moderate incidents and service requests requiring minimal direction.  
  5. Collaborates closely with IT colleagues and cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize application functionality and supporting processes.
  6. Develops comprehensive training materials, delivers at-the-elbow support and subject-matter expertise, and supports the creation and ongoing maintenance of training resources. 
  7. Collaborates with professional and technical stakeholders to identify, document, and implement workflow and process improvements. 

This person will receive daily guidance from UHW or stakeholders, yet remains responsible to IT leadership for upholding standards, maintaining excellence, and pursuing continuous education.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology, systems training, or enterprise application configuration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Two to five years of experience managing and supporting an EHR and/or other health related applications.
