Summary: The Clinical Instructional Designer / Systems Educator designs and delivers engaging learning experiences, develops E‑Learning and multimedia content, facilitates training programs, and ensures proper system use across the organization. This role partners with subject‑matter experts, supports Super User networks, leads education initiatives, and applies adult learning principles to improve training effectiveness while contributing to system implementations and continuous improvement efforts.  Responsibilities: 
Essential Functions –
  • Designs, develops, and delivers interactive learning experiences across the organization based on key initiatives and training needs.
  • Conducts comprehensive training needs assessments with subject‑matter experts to develop effective learning plans, procedures, and materials for team members, providers, students, vendors, and other end users.
  • Creates high‑quality E‑Learning and multimedia content using authoring tools, animation programs, graphic design tools, scripting languages, and advanced media editing technologies.
  • Develops, deploys, and maintains E‑Learning applications and computer‑assisted instructional materials that support system education and organizational goals.
  • Facilitates instructor‑led training, required classes, and train‑the‑trainer programs, ensuring smooth content handoff and consistent delivery standards.
  • Ensures proper system use by end users, identifies deviations from standard workflows, and provides re‑education as needed.
  • Coordinates education initiatives, including knowledge shares, in‑services, and system‑specific training for assigned departments or segments (including IT/CE when applicable).
  • Manages and supports Super User networks, providing updates related to enhancements, upgrades, and best practices.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and updates class materials to improve clarity, accuracy, and instructional effectiveness.
  • Applies adult learning principles to all instructional design, delivery, and evaluation processes.
  • Maintains accurate records of training activities, learner progress, and program outcomes, and monitors overall training effectiveness.
  • Participates in and may lead training projects, including organization‑wide or IT/CE system implementation initiatives.
  • Acts as a mentor and resource for learning team members, supporting professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicates effectively with learning partners, customers, guests, and global or segment‑specific client groups, ensuring timely updates and strong collaboration.
  • Demonstrates mastery of multiple training programs and applications, supporting both organization‑wide and segment‑specific needs.
  • Visits operational areas to observe workflows and validate training needs.
  • Maintains a positive, professional appearance and attitude, modeling the values of lifelong learning.
  • Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies, including attendance, mandatory education, and regulatory standards (ADA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Engages in continuous improvement, recommending changes in methods, procedures, and training approaches.
  • Stays current with industry trends by maintaining contact with professional organizations and training associations.
  • Completes assignments in a timely, effective, and efficient manner, demonstrating proficiency with office, audio/video, and classroom equipment.
 
Qualifications:
Education/Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Certification in instructional design, adult learning, or training delivery (e.g., APTD, CPTD, CIDD, CPTM, or equivalent). Preferred
 
Certifications Preferred:
  • E‑Learning authoring tool certifications (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate).
  • Multimedia or graphic design certifications (Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Technical training certifications (CompTIA CTT+, Microsoft Certified Educator).
  • Kirkpatrick Evaluation Certification or equivalent.

Experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in education required.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
