The role involves advising low-income, first-generation high school students throughout North Carolina on postsecondary opportunities, including college, career, and military pathways, while supporting student services departments and promoting a college-going culture in partner schools.
Highlights
Advise high school students on college, scholarship, and financial aid applications.
Develop and implement strategic outreach plans in collaboration with school student services.
Lead campus visits, career exploration activities, and school-wide events to promote postsecondary planning.
Require strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
Post-Baccalaureate degree required; or Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years relevant experience acceptable.
Preference for experience working directly with students.
Position is full-time, temporary staff with 40 hours per week and an 8-month appointment.
Salary range between $32,500 and $38,200.
Department: Enrollment Management, focused on increasing enrollment and supporting student success.
Supports low-income, first-generation students from North Carolina public high schools through the Carolina College Advising Corps.
