Position Summary:
Arts & Science is seeking a talented Communications and Program Administrator to join the Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies. This individual will manage, develop and maintain Center's communications, marketing and publicity strategy: strong and dynamic online presence to generate internal and external interest and participation in current and future programs (75 events per academic year, including multi-day conferences). Design, write, and edit informational texts and graphics for Center’s projects and initiatives. Manage and assist with recruitment, admissions, matriculation, graduation processes of all students. Oversee recruitment and admissions process, communicate with prospective and incoming students; oversee registration and graduation activities.

3+ years
Preferred Experience:
Work experience in communications, higher education environment, or transferable field desired.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills. Attention to detail; self-starter, disciplined. Software knowledge and creativity for text, graphic design, audio/video, web/social media (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite proficiency—Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator). Proficiency and agility with Web content platforms, as well as social media tools such as Facebook/X/Instagram/LinkedIn/Bluesky/Mailchimp/Buffer.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Exemplary interpersonal skills, presentation skills, leadership, student advising and/or counseling experience. Skills in video editing (Premiere, Final Cut, or comparable) and/or livestream technologies.
Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
