Position Summary Information 
Job Description Summary 
The Communications and Training Student Specialist will be responsible for several different projects involving blogging, social media, graphic design, training events, tabling events. This role offers experience in IT communication/training and internal marketing. The ideal candidate should be interested in blogging and must be familiar with content creation for social media and feel comfortable being in front of the camera.The position requires strong communications skills as the job will involve working with other teams/organizations around the campus as well as the IS&T office. The Communications/Training Specialist student should have some experience with graphic design and tools such as Canva and Adobe Express.The best parts about this position is that it offers an opportunity to learn. This position is dynamic by nature and will offer lots of opportunity for growth. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities  | Create and maintain regular social media postings Work on graphic design projects such as creating digital signage and pamphlets Assist in writing communication material such as blogs and web page updates Occasional training on applications and platforms Assist during tabling events on campus Able to perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications  | Strong writing and communication skills Understanding of basic graphic design techniques Organized individual with great time management skills Familiarity with all social media platforms, specifically Instagram and Threads. Moderate to Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite; specifically, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Express Microsoft Suite Have a sense of collaboration and teamwork
Desired Qualifications  | Familiarity with various presentation software Moderate to Advanced experience with Adobe Illustrator and Premiere Rush Familiarity with WordPress and Canva
