Auburn University is hiring a Communications & Marketing Specialist I/II for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. The role involves creating content and marketing strategies to promote ACES communications projects and Alabama Extension initiatives, while collaborating with county directors and supporting a statewide communications team.
Highlights
Develop and share impact stories via news releases, promotional materials, digital, social media, print, and video.
Create, update, and maintain educational content and web pages on the Alabama Extension website.
Support Extension communications and marketing initiatives by participating in team meetings and completing assigned tasks.
Conduct in-state travel for gathering news releases and impact stories related to county-based programs.
Review and proofread content from various writers to ensure a cohesive web presence.
Serve as a liaison between county directors and the Communications, Strategic Marketing, and Client Relations unit.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field required; Level I requires no experience, Level II requires two years, and Level III requires four years of relevant experience.
Excellent writing and editing skills with proficiency in AP style; strong communication skills across multiple platforms.
Preferred experience includes managing social media channels, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress.
