Team Overview
Our Marketing team leads, develops, and executes PowerSchool’s global marketing initiatives. Responsible for brand, corporate communications, demand-generation, and solution marketing, the team works across all major marketing functions to drive alignment of the organization’s messages across all channels to ensure we meet our sales targets. Responsibilities:
This role focuses on how buyers evaluate and compare solutions in the market today. You will uncover patterns across wins and losses, track competitive movement, and shape strong points of view that directly influence positioning, messaging, and field execution. If you enjoy synthesizing insight, shaping strategy, and seeing your work show up in real deals, this role was built for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead market-facing competitive intelligence to inform positioning, differentiation, and go-to-market strategy.
- Analyze win-loss data to identify buyer decision drivers and translate insights into stronger messaging and deal guidance.
- Develop competitive narratives and differentiation frameworks grounded in customer outcomes and real buying behavior.
- Create and maintain competitive enablement assets such as battlecards, competitor briefs, and objection-handling guidance.
- Monitor competitors, pricing strategies, packaging changes, and emerging market entrants to anticipate risk and opportunity.
- Partner closely with Sales Enablement, Solution Engineering, and Solution Marketing to ensure insights are adopted and activated in the field.
- Measure success through adoption of competitive tools, field feedback, and improvements in competitive performance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, market analysis, or a related role.
- Strong ability to synthesize research, data, and market signals into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for influencing how teams think and talk about competition.
- Experience supporting sales teams with competitive positioning, objection handling, and deal strategy.
- A curious mindset with a bias toward action and a desire to win in the market.
- Comfortable forming a point of view in complex, fast-moving environments.
- SaaS experience, education technology preferred but not required.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $95,600 - $119,500 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
