Job Summary:
As a Content developer , you help create and develop products and services to time, quality, and cost, ensuring they deliver intended learning outcomes. You are responsible for maintaining editorial excellence across production stages, managing external suppliers, and utilizing content tools to ensure all materials are fit for purpose. This is an individual contributor role focused on technical editorial execution and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance: Lead QA across content production stages (copyedit, activity briefs, proofs, screen checks), ensuring strict adherence to "Right First Time" criteria and Editorial Policy.
Content Evaluation: Assess whether drafts and manuscripts are fit for purpose, ensuring pedagogical alignment with intended learning outcomes.
Supplier Management: Collaborate with authors, consultants, and third-party suppliers to ensure content meets requirements; contribute to briefing, contracting, and QA of deliverables.
System Utilization: Manage day-to-day use of content creation and workflow tools, including XML templates and Content Management Systems (CMS).
Project Delivery: Monitor business cases, budgets, and schedules to support delivery on time, keeping Content Delivery Managers informed of any scope or schedule changes.
Standards Compliance: Ensure all developed products meet established quality benchmarks and internal editorial standards.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong experience in editorial workflows and content development within a professional or educational setting.
Proficiency in content creation tools and workflow systems (e.g., XML, CMS, and project tracking tools).
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control and "Right First Time" delivery.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for managing relationships with external authors and consultants.
Ability to evaluate manuscripts and technical drafts for pedagogical suitability.
Solid organizational skills to manage deliverables within budget and time constraints.
Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Relevant professional experience in editorial, content development, or instructional design roles.
Proven track record of managing content quality and meeting project deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
