About the Opportunity
The Contract Exceptions Analyst will work cross-functionally with Deal Desk, Maintenance, Sales Operations, Contracts, Finance and Legal teams to provide concessions support to Ellucian’s Global Sales & Customer Success Teams. This Analyst will support the customer success organization by working with internal teams understanding the root cause of the exception request; providing situational analysis, recommended outcomes/solutions, building brief legal documents and communicating to internal resources. Successful candidates in this role will have issue identification and resolution experience and have an extremely high bar for customer service. We seek a person who thrives on being organized and highly adaptive, has a high emotional IQ, and is extremely detail oriented in our fast paced and fluid environment.

Where you will make an impact 
  • Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day exception requests from the customer 
    success teams.
  • Analyze & investigate existing agreements to understand the full financial picture before making 
    a recommendation for a resolution. 
  • Create amendments and legal documents that reflect the approved resolutions. Various issues touch upon upgrades, maintenance renewals, and add-ons - you will become the subject matter expert on the nuances of
  • Strategic/Enterprise level customer accounts.
  • Work with the Sales team, Management, Legal and Finance to ensure negotiated exceptions are 
    documented properly and in alignment with Ellucian’s policies.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Ellucian’s pricing & contracting models

What you will bring
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in an analytical role within one or more of the disciplines of 
  • Sales, Marketing or Finance/Contract Management.
  • Ability to analyze & recommend the best course of action for complex issue resolution & 
    licensing situations.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Services and SaaS Software and Solutions is highly recommended.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior experience with modeling and analysis a plus.
  • Financial analysis experience in an enterprise-level business environment is a plus.
  • Experience creating customer/prospect proposals
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proactive, creative, and results oriented individual
  • Experience in data analysis, modeling, contract management or financial analysis to support revenue growth
  • Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful
