Job Summary | Supports the planning, implementation, and oversight of Bachelor of Social Work, (BSW) and Master of Social Work, (MSW) field practicum placements in alignment with. Counsel on Social Work Education, (CSWE) standards. This role collaborates with program leadership, places students in appropriate internship settings, updates field manuals and course materials, and supports field liaisons and instructors. The coordinator manages the field education database, organizes field events, maintains agency relationships, and addresses student concerns during placements to ensure a high-quality field education experience. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in social work or related field. Four (4) years of experience within the social service field. Experience with education or software management systems. Supervisory or leadership experience. Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
Preferred Qualifications | Master’s degree in social work or related field. Teaching and/or field practicum experience in higher education. Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the State of Ohio.

Ability to be an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed and forward-thinking. Skilled in project management, problem-solving, analysis, follow-through, influence and persuasion. The ability to function as systems thinker and be solution-minded with a global perspective. Effective, strong and collaborative leadership. Ability to support commitment to excellence in teaching and advising undergraduate and graduate students consistent with the department’s mission, values, and program outcomes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
