Basic computer and IT hardware (Aps, Switches, Computers, Audio/Video Equipment) and software knowledge. Experience with inventory control tracking and practices. Aptitude for logistics, storage organization, and supply chain coordination. Ability to analyze inventory data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy. Experience tracking work efforts in a ticketing system. Basic math. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications | Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management principles. Experience managing logistics or asset hub/operation. Experience setting up and enacting processes and procedures. Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Data Sanitization knowledge and/or experience. Experience working at an institute of higher education.
Job Description The candidate will be the ITAC Logistic Hub Coordinator. Their duties will be to oversee the receiving, storage, distribution, and reverse logistics of a large quantity of various pieces of technology hardware. They will be responsible for ensuring that all new items received are entered into the asset management system. Additionally, they are responsible for ITAC inventory management and reporting, receiving and distribution of equipment, media destruction/sanitization, CRP exchange, and disposal of IT assets. They will manage the logistics hub physical space and assigned student workers.
Job Duties Manage the full lifecycle of IT equipment assets, including receiving, tagging, inventory tracking, deployment, reassignment, and decommissioning. Receive, inspect, and reconcile hardware shipments against purchase orders, coordinating with vendors to resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate asset records in the Asset Management System to ensure compliance with university and State of Texas property requirements. Conduct regular physical inventories, audits, and reconciliations to ensure accountability and data accuracy. Coordinate the distribution and collection of IT equipment for faculty and staff, including preparing devices for deployment and managing logistics. Collaborate with campus partners and outside entities to manage surplus, disposal of end-of-life assets, and sanitation/destruction of media assets. Oversee daily operations of the IT Logistics Hub, ensuring organized storage, tracking, and efficient handling of all equipment. Other duties as assigned.
