The Coordinator of Marketing & Fan Development will support the marketing department efforts for fan and student engagement initiatives at Virginia Tech, working to create memorable and unique experiences. There are two Coordinators within the marketing unit.
This position will report to the Director of Marketing and Fan Development, within the Brand Advancement team, with the goal of implementing compelling fan engagement initiatives, generating revenue, driving attendance and building brand affinity.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary marketing lead for Soccer and Swim & Dive / Volleyball and Lacrosse, developing and implementing external plans detailing efforts to drive attendance, promote games, engage the community and elevate the fan, student and student-athlete experience
Primary oversight of lead generation campaigns and other department initiatives
Secondary marketing lead for Football, Basketball, and Baseball/Softball, assisting with driving revenue and attendance
Secondary marketing oversight of Maroon & Orange Memories exclusive experience program, Internship program, and Campus & Student Engagement initiatives
Develop and oversee NextGen Hokies to continue to drive revenue and affinity for the Hokies
Contribute to leadership of undergraduate student intern program
Develop compelling fan and student engagement initiatives with the goal of creating memorable and unique experiences for fans and student-athletes
Collaborate with the In-Venue Experience team on ideation and execution of game production including but not limited to promotions, giveaways, video, music and crowd engagement.
Required Qualifications
Relevant experience working in a marketing and fan experience atmosphere.
Experience developing and executing written marketing/external plans.
Ability to think creatively and work effectively with others.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar computer programs.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or a related field.
