Job Summary  | The Coordinator of Compliance and Strategic Planning plays a critical role in supporting the university’s research compliance, strategic planning, accreditation records, and policy development efforts. This position oversees the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process, monitors and reports on strategic plan progress, assists with policy updates, maintains the SACSCOC and ACHE files, and provides data analysis to inform decision-making. The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate across academic and administrative units.

IRB Oversight
Manage the IRB submission and review process and administrative records in compliance with federal and institutional regulations. Coordinate IRB submissions, facilitate the review process, and correspond with investigators. Update IRB policies and procedures. Serve as a liaison between researchers and the IRB committee.

Strategic Planning
Supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of the university strategic planning process. Track progress on institutional strategic goals and initiatives. Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to support strategic planning efforts. Prepare and submit required reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Policy Support
Assist in reviewing and updating academic and administrative policies. Coordinate with relevant offices to ensure policy changes are communicated and implemented effectively.

Minimum Qualifications 
1. Bachelor’s degree required.
2. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SPSS).
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications 
1. Master’s degree preferred in public administration, higher education, data analytics, or related field.
2. Experience with IRB processes and compliance in a higher education setting.
3. Familiarity with strategic planning frameworks.
4. Experience with policy development or revision.
5. Knowledge of federal regulations related to human subjects research.
