Job Description Rappahannock Community College (RCC), founded in 1970, provides high-quality educational and training opportunities throughout a 12-county service region an hour east of Richmond on the beautiful western shore of the Chesapeake Bay with access to fresh local seafood and water activities. RCC delivers accessible and affordable educational opportunities, including for-credit transfer and career technical programs, robust distance education coursework, quality dual enrollment courses, and award-winning workforce training and credentialing programs. RCC’s annualized enrollment of 3,700 credit students in 2024-2025 and almost 800 workforce and community development students are supported by almost 140 full-time employees and over 200 part-time/adjunct employees across two main campuses and five satellite sites.

Coordinator of Dual Enrollment position. This is a full-time, professional faculty ranked position, with an excellent benefits package. The anticipated hiring salary range will be $77,000 – $87,000, commensurate with education and experience. This position is located on the Warsaw campus. As a two-campus institution, the Coordinator of Dual Enrollment may have a presence at both campuses (Glenns and Warsaw) regularly.
Reporting to the Dean of Strategic Enrollment Management, the Coordinator of Dual Enrollment (DE) will be responsible for the RCC Dual Enrollment program which constitutes more than one-half of RCC’s credit enrollment. This program serves 14 public school divisions, the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School, two technical centers, and one private school in a twelve-county service region. The Coordinator, in concert with the Dean of Strategic Enrollment Management, will be responsible for maintaining productive and responsive relationships with the school divisions in RCC’s service region.
The Coordinator of Dual Enrollment will lead a team of high school navigators. With this team, the Coordinator of Dual Enrollment will work with secondary school personnel (DE instructors, counselors, principals, and chief academic officers), and RCC academic leaders (such as academic deans and discipline leads). Additionally, the Coordinator of dual enrollment will work with distance learning, technology staff, and other personnel in the student development and business offices to ensure that all aspects of the dual enrollment program are managed in a highly productive and timely manner. The Coordinator will assist the Dean of Strategic Enrollment Management in DE curriculum planning and manage the enrollment functions of all dual-enrolled coursework and articulated programs. The coordinator will serve on statewide committees and provide leadership to college standing committees as required.

KSA's/Required Qualifications | Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to work with partners in secondary schools, parents, students, and college administrators. Strong written and oral communication and public speaking skills. Ability to lead multiple tasks and processes with a variety of internal college departments, multiple school systems, and students. Ability to work well as a team member. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and student information systems. Ability to travel to high schools within RCC’s service area. Considerable knowledge of college recruitment strategies and objectives.
Additional Considerations | Doctorate preferred. Supervisory skills. Several years of community college experience in academics or student services. Considerable knowledge of the college curriculum, its administrative organization and public-school administration and organization. Experience with a large and diverse dual enrollment program, including college admission and enrollment, review of eligibility, student recruitment, advising individual students and parents, and speaking to groups. Demonstrated ability to manage detail-oriented tasks such as auditing and verifying educational records.
