  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior experience working at a college or university
  • Experience planning and implementing programs, events, or projects
  • Demonstrated ability to write coherently and precisely
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specify applications in cover letter, resume, or application)
  • Evidence of attention to detail, demonstrated through a grammatically correct, articulate, and concise cover letter addressed to the McCoy College Student Success Center Search Committee
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm), including some evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive university or rental vehicles for off-site events
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality-focused roles
  • Demonstrated experience with event planning and coordination (both small and large scale)

Job Description
As McCoy College of Business experiences unprecedented enrollment growth with over 6,200 students, the Student Success Center Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring every student receives the personalized support needed to thrive academically and professionally. Now in its third year, the McCoy College Student Success Center (MCSSC) serves as the hub for academic, professional, and personal development across the college.

The Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for student and guest experience while managing operations, coordinating (15+) annual events in addition to newly created events via the Student Success Center or McCoy College, and collaborating across departments to connect students with resources and opportunities.
Job Duties
  • Guest Experience & Center Operations
    • Oversee daily center operations and manage front desk/reception areas
    • Create and maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment for all visitors
    • Process reservations for the center’s innovative spaces
    • Ensure optimal user experience throughout the facility
Academic Support & Student Initiatives
  • Provide academic support programming for students on academic warning
  • Coordinate initiatives for pre-business and transfer students
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to connect students with appropriate resources
  • Support the academic success of a diverse student population
Event Planning & Coordination
  • Manage the MCSSC event calendar in coordination with university and college departments
  • Plan and deliver student success workshops and programs with the McCoy College Events Coordinator
  • Participate in university-wide events including Bobcat Days, New Student Orientation, and Commencement
  • Work evenings and weekends for event support as needed
Communications & Administrative Support
  • Develop effective communication materials for center services, events, and resources
  • Maintain and update the student success center website following university guidelines
  • Collect and organize data for annual reports on center services and program effectiveness
  • Assist with resource management, budget planning, and purchasing
  • Provide administrative support to the Director and general center operations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
