POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Corporate Training Specialist designs, develops, delivers, administers, and evaluates learning solutions that strengthen employee knowledge, skills, and job performance. The role partners with Human Resources, department leaders, subject-matter experts, and employees to identify learning needs; create role-based and enterprise training; manage learning systems and records; and recommend qualified external programs. Training may be delivered in person, virtually, or through blended and self-paced formats.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct training needs assessments using surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, performance data, and input from managers and employees.
  • Translate identified needs into measurable learning objectives, curricula, role-based learning paths, and training plans aligned with business priorities.
  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, blended, and e-learning content using adult-learning and instructional-design principles, including facilitator guides, participant resources, presentations, job aids, knowledge checks, and evaluation tools.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions and workshops for employees and leaders; adapt delivery methods to audience needs and operational schedules.
  • Continuously improve training content based on feedback and changing needs.
  • Partner with department leaders and subject-matter experts to confirm content accuracy, identify position-specific competencies, and develop training plans.
  • Serve as a power user and administrator for the Learning Management System, including course setup, assignments, user support, completion tracking, reporting, and data quality.
  • Support Human Resources and management integrating learning initiatives with onboarding, performance management, career development, succession planning, and broader talent strategies.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends, tools, software, training innovations, and best practices in employee development.
  • Assist in others areas of Human Resources as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by TAS.

JOB SKILLS:
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, written and verbal communication, and virtual instruction skills.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, needs assessment, curriculum development, and training evaluation.
  • Ability to create clear, engaging, and accessible learning materials using Learning Management Systems and e-learning or collaboration tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Mentimeter, Mural, Microsoft Teams, or equivalent platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, PowerPoint and Excel; ability to analyze data and prepare meaningful reports.
  • Strong project management, planning, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and consulting skills, and the ability to collaborate independently and as part of a team at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to adjust work hours as needed to support training schedules and to travel locally between TAS facilities.

EDUCATION & TRAINING:
  • Bachelor's degree in training & development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or another relevant field.
  • Extensive experience or training in the field may be considered in lieu of a degree

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2 – 4 years of experience developing and delivering training for a manufacturing company.
  • At least 2 - 4 years of human resources experience
  • Computer proficient (MS Office, specially Excel, and internet); detail-oriented, and strong analytical and statistical capabilities
  • 2 years of experience with LMS

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Certification in training and development (e.g. CPTD, APTD)
  • Familiarity with performance management and employee development strategies.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.  Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal and conduct extensive reading.  The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
