The opportunity
The Credit Advisor I mitigates risk for the institution by assisting students in resolving past due balances owed to the university. The Credit Advisor I works as part of the Credit team to achieve these goals.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • You will help us manage processes related to the collection of past due accounts by phone outreach and email; this will include counseling students and parents on alternative ways to pay current and past due balances and setting up payment plans.
  • Inbound and Outbound phone coverage, including outbound calling campaigns as assigned.
  • Work with students and contacts according to SNHU's culture and brand behaviors to support the mission of the university.
  • You will need to be available for incoming phone calls from students all over the world.
  • You will document student interactions in customer relationship manager.
  • You will work as a member of a team with a willingness to support the success of the team.
  • You will demonstrate ability to take on new or modified activities as changes impact job requirements and assigned tasks.
  • Meet expectations for Monthly Metrics and Call Reviews.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma
  • 1+ years of work experience in related field (e.g., credit and collections, law or justice studies, risk management, student affairs.)
  • Strong verbal and written skills over phone and email.
  • Conflict management and ability to de-escalate.
  • Technical skills including (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience working in collaboration with others to meet goals.

Work Hours:
  • Operational Hours are Monday-Thursday 8AM-8PM ET, Friday 8AM-6PM ET
  • Schedules will include an 8PM shift.
  • Daylight Saving Time is observed, and schedules will shift semi-annually in states or territories not observing DST.
  • You will be fully remote in a Synergy approved location.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $39,913.00 - $63,870.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $44,103.00 - $59,668.00.
