Curriculum Analyst Full Description

Overview: 
This position will be in the Learning Solutions & Technology group within the Workforce Development organization at Electric Boat.  This group is responsible for learning technology, creating and maintaining training solutions, and providing digital delivery support for training activities.  This job is focused on overseeing the creation and maintenance of the curriculum for the organization.  This role will partner with organizational team members to identify and prioritize courses for maintenance in the LMS as well as work with Key Stakeholders to enable the changing needs of the business.  This role will support the growth of shipbuilders at EB and work to remove barriers as they arise within the curriculum development process.  The ideal candidate focuses on problem resolution and has experience in project management. 
 
Responsibilities of this position include:
 
  • Partner with other members of Workforce Development, including Chiefs of Training, LMS Administrators, Instructors, Instructional Techs, and Media Developers, as well as Stakeholders to ensure curriculum projects are maintained in a timely manner with a high degree of quality
  • Build effective working relationships with leadership, course owners, and Subject Matter Experts (SME) across GDEB. 
  • For each assigned project, initiate and oversee Curriculum Development Maintenance Process and assist in Roles/Responsibilities discussions with Management; consulting to determine complexity of project, assigned SMEs, and ensure overarching alignment
  • Maintain Curriculum Processes & Procedures in conjunction with the Chief of Training
  • Manage the curriculum project efficiently through the development process so that tasks are completed on time, problems are anticipated or resolved quickly, and team members are clear on project requirements and schedules
  • Coordinate course evaluations and observations, with Instructors and Subject Matter Experts (SME),and support feedback review and training adjustments as necessary. 

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency and 4 yrs curriculum development experience OR–Bachelor’s degree and 2 years curriculum development experience 
  • Minimum one year Project leadership experience
  • Minimum one year experience working with a Learning Management System
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year ISD (instructional systems design) and learning/training background
  • Experience working for a defense contractor and/or US Military.
  • Project Management Certificate
