Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Curriculum Development Manager to lead the design and execution of a corporate apprenticeship training program as well as an internal training program focused on internal workforce development. This role is responsible for building structured, scalable learning pathways that align with business goals, workforce needs, and industry standards.  The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in instructional design, a strong electrical background (preferred), and proven experience developing apprenticeship-style training programs within a corporate environment. This role will also leverage AI-driven tools to modernize curriculum development and enhance learner outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of a corporate apprenticeship training program, including multi-year learning pathways and progression models.
  • Develop competency-based curricula that integrate on-the-job training (OJT) with classroom and digital learning experiences.
  • Incorporate AI tools and technologies (e.g., adaptive learning systems, content generation, skills tracking, analytics) to enhance curriculum scalability and personalization.
  • Ability to deliver deliver training to students in a classroom setting both in-person and a virtual platform.
  • Ensure curriculum aligns with electrical terminology, principles, and real-world application in a corporate/industry setting.
  • Build structured learning journeys that support workforce development, retention, and internal career progression
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders/SME’s (operations, engineering, field leaders) to align training with business needs and job roles.
  • Design instructional materials including eLearning modules, instructor-led training, lab simulations, and assessments.
  • Implement and manage curriculum development platforms and tools (e.g., LMS, authoring tools such as Articulate or Captivate).
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards and electrical codes.
  • Manage multiple projects, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration efforts.
  • Mentor and guide instructional designers and training team members.

May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Technical Writing, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or workforce training.
  • Must have a background in curriculum delivery
  • Proven experience building or managing corporate apprenticeship or workforce development programs.
  • Background knowledge of electrical terminology, principles, and fundamentals (preferred).
  • Familiarity with International Accreditation for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) accreditation and continuing education standards.
  • Strong knowledge and experience integrating AI tools into learning design, content development, or training delivery.
  • Some experience with curriculum development software, LMS platforms, and eLearning authoring tools.
  • Strong communication, writing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to align training programs with business objectives.
  • Experience in electrical industry codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, NETA, PEARL, IEEE).
