Position Overview:

Becker Professional Education has seen rapid growth in the CPE business and is seeking a visionary leader in the position of CPE Curriculum Director. This position will be responsible for planning and executing a multi-year CPE curriculum road map (including but not limited to topics covering accounting, auditing, taxation, fraud, finance, government, personal development, taxation, and technology); leading a team of experienced curriculum managers and specialists; representing CPE curriculum with internal and external stakeholders; and working closely with course development, software development, sales and marketing leaders to help achieve product and revenue goals. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation and presentation skills, experience working with cross functional teams, and a proven track record of implementing process improvements. Expected travel approximately 10%. This position reports to the VP of Product.

What You'll Do

  • Work in rapid product growth business and contribute to thought leadership on new products and new CPE course formats for expanding customer base
  • Work with curriculum managers and course development team to plan and execute curriculum development roadmap, including new course development and existing course maintenance
  • Identify and address resource constraints related to the CPE curriculum development process
  • Work with faculty management team to identify, interview, and hire new subject matter experts
  • Work with CPE product manager to actively address voice of the customer feedback as related to curriculum
  • Work with cross functional teams to manage CPE webcasts process 
  • Lead CPE curriculum team in meeting recurring weekly, monthly, and quarterly curriculum and reporting deadlines 
  • Work with CPE curriculum managers to identify and implement improvements to the CPE curriculum development process
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify and implement improvements to the overall CPE course development and course delivery process
  • Serve as a liaison to the internal licensing and regulatory team
  • Be knowledgeable and actively lead team in application of NASBA rules for CPE and in other accreditations for which Becker is registered (IRS, CFP, etc)
  • Manage curriculum inquiries from the Becker sales team, B2B customers, CPE learners, and external LMS providers
  • Work with CPE LMS software development team to identify LMS enhancements that can improve the curriculum development process
  • Represent Becker CPE team at conferences sponsored by customers and professional organizations to network with potential subject matter experts and speak to CPE offerings with current and prospective customers
  • Complete other duties as assigned

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Masters degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in education or learning and development
  • Knowledge of publishing and professional education preferred
  • 2 to 3+ years’ experience with learning management systems required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues. Must be able to demonstrate past successes at building strong, productive relationships
  • Must be an action-oriented self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced, performance-based organization
  • Strong analytical, multitasking, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to consult with others by listening effectively and asking clarifying questions
  • Proven client service skills
