This is a remote position with 80% travel, open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This position is open to candidates who reside in one of the following states: Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Michigan.
What you will be doing:
- Fostering relationships and leveraging knowledge to increase sales
- Delivering winning sales presentations and supportive pre and post sales work, including but not limited to strategy development, training, etc.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of products sold and supported related to the educational landscape and territory revenue goal
- Ability to work successfully and collaboratively with sales team members as well as work in a self-directed/independent manner
- Remain current in educational trends, priorities, initiatives, and pedagogical knowledge
- Other duties as assigned
We are looking for someone with:
- Education & Experience: B.A. or B.S. required; M.A. or higher preferred, with 5+ years of successful teaching experience. Educational leadership at the building, district, or state level is a plus.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Strong knowledge of ELA and/or other curriculum content trends, pedagogy, and curriculum.
- Sales & Coaching: Skilled at presenting to diverse educational audiences; experience in educational sales and/or instructional coaching desired.
- Communication & Rapport: Ability to connect with audiences, respond strategically to questions, and effectively support adoption of McGraw-Hill resources.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using PC/Mac, presentation tools, whiteboard tech, and 1:1 devices for engaging, multimedia presentations (virtual and in-person).
- Travel & Physical Requirements: Willing to travel overnight up to 80% (car or air); able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Logistics: Must have a valid driver’s license and live near a major metropolitan airport.
- Language Skills: Spanish fluency preferred but not required.

As this position requires traveling by car, we require candidates to have a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a car in the designated territory.
This is a 10-month position with the month of December off and an additional 4 weeks off between April – July. Annual salary will be prorated based on 10 working months and paid over 12 months. Vacation time will also be prorated based on 10 working months, and the pay range for this position is between $62,000 - $70,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
