Job Summary
Anneclaire De Roos, Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health is seeking a Data Analyst to work on projects investigating links between the environment and children’s health. The position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who will conduct data management and documentation, data coding, statistical analysis, and data visualization activities. These activities will be performed primarily for supporting preparation of peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, and opportunities for co-authorship will be offered. The Data Analyst may also be asked to conduct some administrative tasks, such as assisting with preparation of proposals for human subjects research protection and progress reports. The Data Analyst will work mostly independently, given direction provided during weekly meetings with Dr. De Roos and frequent communications among the project collaborators at Drexel University and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Essential Functions
  • Conduct data management and documentation.
  • Conduct administrative tasks, such as assisting with preparation of proposals for human subjects research protection and progress reports.
  • Data coding, statistical analysis, and data visualization activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of Master's Degree in Master's Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of work experience managing and analyzing data
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of R and SAS.
  • Familiarity with statistics for epidemiologic studies, including longitudinal analyses.
  • Very detail oriented and extremely organized.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow direction yet work independently.
  • Excellent English oral and written skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with geographically referenced datasets and mapping.
  • Experience with ArcGIS

Additional Information
This is a Part-Time temporary position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
