KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data.
  • Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained.
  • Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate.
  • Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs.
  • Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

Data Analyst working with EPIC COSMOS
Emory Global Diabetes Research Center and the Emory AI and Causal Lab are recruiting a Data Analyst to conduct research in machine learning, pharmacoepidemiology, trial emulation, and EHR data science. The candidate will use major EHR and real-world data platforms, including Epic Cosmos, VA data, and the UK Biobank, to conduct comparative effectiveness studies in diabetes. The candidate will also apply machine learning and causal AI methods to investigate treatment heterogeneity and generate evidence to support precision medicine. The position offers opportunities to propose novel research ideas in diabetes, collaborate with faculty in the Emory Global Diabetes Research Center, and develop projects and grant proposals.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working with Epic Cosmos.
  • Master degree in Bios or Epi.
  • Demonstrated track record of research in diabetes.
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively in a team-based research environment.
  • Applicants who have completed COSMOS training.
