Job Description  | The University of Notre Dame Graduate School has a crucial role in supporting graduate programs and helping ensure that Notre Dame graduate students become a force for good in the world. With many nationally and internationally recognized graduate programs, the Graduate School attracts top scholars from all over the globe. We are looking for someone who is driven, creative, and a collaborative partner to achieve the mission and vision of Our Lady’s University in advancing graduate studies.

Reporting to the Program Manager for Assessment, Data Analytics and Strategic Initiatives, the Data and Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in helping the Graduate School implement its ongoing data strategy and streamline systems workflows to better support operations.
The Data and Systems Analyst will build partnerships with teams across the Graduate School and with academic partners in the colleges and departments.

The Data and Systems Analyst will have two primary areas of focus:

 Support of the Graduate School’s Data Strategy initiative Building reliable and trustworthy data pipelines—within a robust security and access framework—that become sources of truth for analysis; data models to be built primarily via Tableau Prep Builder Designing elegant reports and dashboards (Tableau) that need little maintenance and can be used widely for decision making Helping streamline and automate data collection using tools such as Qualtrics, Slate, and other form-based modules Creating documentation and training—both audio-visual and written—around reports and dashboards to ensure that reports are widely and correctly adopted Coordinating the project management of the Graduate School’s Data Strategy initiative

Special projects related to the Graduate School’s Admissions/CRM system Slate CRM enhancements: form and workflow development, portal creation, the building of communications and events templates, etc. Data validation and integrations: auditing data quality and completeness and checking that Slate data aligns with data in the Student Information System (SIS)

Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s Degree 2-3 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data visualization, or systems support Exceptional organization Excellent written and oral communication skills

Technical Skills/Proficiencies Data Analysis & Visualization (Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, Qualtrics, Power BI, SQL, Python, R, etc) Slate or other Admissions/CRM system development Microsoft Excel 

Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s Degree in related field Experience with project management Basic video editing skills for training-video creation
