Data Literacy Instructional Designer

Responsibilities
CORE RESPONSIBILITY
  • Develop high-quality learning content for data literacy, including video tutorials, interactive materials, and written guides.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand learning objectives and develop content aligned with organizational goals.
  • Utilize Oracle Learning Cloud to deliver and manage learning materials effectively.
  • Understand data personas and competency areas to tailor content for different learning styles and skill levels.
  • Build on-demand content to support just-in-time learning needs.
  • Ensure content is accessible and engaging for a diverse audience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data literacy and instructional design.
  • Participate in the needs analysis, design and development of training modules
  • Interact with SME’s/L&OD Lead in planning and scoping requirements for curriculum
  • Provide consultative feedback and updates to project stakeholders
  • Storyboarding, authoring, and development of e-learning content and blended learning solutions
  • Design, develop and provide production/editing services for audio, photographic, video, and print media assets
  • Develop course-specific job aids and performance support materials
  • Work proactively with subject matter experts/L&OD Leads on training development needs and gain the confidence of management by demonstrating professionalism and training expertise in a dynamic, changing environment
  • Proactively and continuously focus on self-education and development and implementing best practices in training and development through webinars, seminars, and organizations
  • Participate in learning records management for data literacy initiatives

Qualifications
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. In lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of experience in Learning Management systems

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:
  • 2-4 years of experience with Oracle Learning Cloud or similar Learning Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • A proactive and go-getter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with competency layouts for instructional design purposes.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Preferred:
  • Experience in developing learning content for a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Certification in data visualization or related field.
