Job Summary  | The College of Arts and Sciences’ Biology Department is seeking a Senior Data Research Analyst.

This position is located in Lexington, Kentucky.

This position will oversee and conduct the conversion of data into meaningful insights that will lead to informed analytical decisions for state partners and researchers, investigators, and senior data analysts to develop complex analytical designs.

Responsibilities include:  diagnosing, validating, and improving performance of models over time  providing leadership and technical support to junior analysts  developing logical and conceptual data flows that support and guide appropriate and effective use of the data  understanding technical specification, functions, and business requirements  handling multiple simultaneous tasks, prioritize work, and remain functional under tight timelines. 
The Senior Data Research Analyst will also develop complex, efficient, and reusable programming code meant for improvement, manipulation, and analysis of data.
Other responsibilities include:  performing data conversions  writing code  identifying relevant trends  preparing reports & visualizations  developing dashboards
