Advertised Job Summary | We’re looking for a forward-thinking Oracle Database Administration Manager to lead the strategy, reliability, and performance of our enterprise database ecosystem.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture, operations, and people leadership. You’ll guide how we design, scale, and secure mission-critical systems that power everything from ERP to student success platforms.
What You’ll Do
Own the health, performance, and security of Oracle database environments across production and non-production systems Lead the design and evolution of high-availability architectures (RAC, Data Guard, ASM, Grid Infrastructure) Drive performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization in a Linux-based environment Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster readiness using RMAN and related tools Set technical direction, standards, and best practices for database operations Partner with ERP and application teams to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions Lead, mentor, and grow a team of database administrators Balance strategic planning with hands-on problem solving
What You Bring
Strong expertise in Oracle database technologies (RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, Grid Infrastructure) Experience managing databases in a Linux environment Proven ability to troubleshoot, tune, and optimize complex systems Leadership experience—whether formal or informal—guiding technical teams Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience 5+ years of relevant database administration experience Preferred Degree in Information Technology or related field Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and/or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE), or equivalent experience 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience Experience with SQL Server and/or MySQL
